Goldust is a poet and workshop facilitator with many years of experience and global travel. Her work has carried her to Belize, Norway, Jamaica and the UK where she has performed live and run counseling workshops and retreats. Her work is her passion and it springs from her desire to enable others to realise the creativity of their souls. Another great influence within her work is the power of relationships, with a particular bias to that male female dynamic.
She has been a live performer since 1983 after attending women’s writing course in London a year earlier. Goldust was born in Guyana, went to school in Trinidad and moved to London at 12, she has lived in Germany and uses the globe as a playground. Traveling is the nature of her spirit and through this she has mixed with many cultures and realises we all have value within who we are.
One of the reasons she creates and delivers poetry is to leave a legacy, poetry will leave her footprint long after she is gone and will hopefully continue to inspire in the same way as it did within her life time. In her own words, “there’s something about art that is timeless” and she intends to be part of that trend. Her poetry is a way of socially transferring her wisdoms widely.
